The fact that when the group was finally announced but NONE of them was smiling had me in tears… they all truly cared for each other, and even the ones that were chosen weren’t able to be fully happy bc Gina and Cristina weren’t with them.

Gina possesses great technical skills but k-pop artists need to have more than that. She isn't able to express the song as how it was intended, and she really isn't comfortable to watch. I worry for her every moment because she looked so stressed up (same goes for Cristina). Watch closely and you may start to agree that she looked and sounded almost angry when delivering her lines, instead of joy or hopefulness.
Gina debuted as a soloist today with her song "FREEDOM" , let's support her and vcha girls too and christina!

Gina kept disappointing me, not on her skills, she was GOOD! but a lil too good, she was still young and didn't know how to manifest her emotions into the dances. They did felt like she's running a home run lap than trying to have a fun ball game. If that made sense. Gina isn't special, she's like many with luck but that being said, she's just like any other skilled dancer/singer. Couldn't fill the right shoes, her size was too much.
Well atleast for this group of amateurs😂 but if Gina would debut, It would like lvls of baby monsters or katseye, not this.
Gina I'm literally crying. You deserved to be there in my opinion. So well rounded and technically sound in vocals and dance, you can achieve anything. Don't ever think you've disappointed anyone because every week you showed up giving your all. I'm still rooting for you to debut someday T-T 💖

But in the end, that's the reality of the K-pop system: you either make the cut or you don't, but that doesn't mean the end for the eliminated trainees
it doesnt mean that they are fully out of it, you make it or you dont. But that doesnt mean they dont have another opportunity

I appreciate that Jy park lifted the girls up and praised them even though they didn’t debut. He didn’t make it seem like the end of the road for them. Pulling them aside and reassuring them was so sweet
I knew the end was going to be hard, but I'm just SO SO happy for KG. I truly didn't think anything of her first, but in these last few performances alone she improved so fast it was truly insane. I think flying out to Korea really set that fire in her. She used to stick out with her dancing and now she blends in wonderfully. So deserved. Bias? We'll see.
All I can say about the end choice is that from watching all these JYP survival shows (specifically Sixteen and Nizi Project), is that that Character Evaluation is probably the most important aspect and core to the success of the girl groups that came out of them. It's not just singing and dancing. I don't know what happened, we'll never know, but the best we can do is trust the trainers, staff, and JYP when they put in their words in those meetings. I hope for the best for this new GG and also for those that didn't make it. My guess for the future of those that didn't make it? This is def NOT the last we'll see of them. They're gonna come back SOMI STYLE, that's my fr guess (and hope) because I really like them a lot.

I hope that the "6 member curse" won't get them. They're all amazing. I'm quite sad that Cristina didn't get to debut, I love her and I think she's super talented.
Rewatching A2K again made me realize that JYP made a good choice with the members. Of course we would have wanted Christina to make the group but I think the reason why she didn’t make it was cause her vocal wasn’t powerful enough. JYP already had Savanna and Lexi who are really great dancers but not strong vocally and he needed the vocals alor more and it was a struggle between Kendal and Christina but picked Kendal because her vocals were better than Christina and she had the visual K-pop fans want.
I loovvee Christina and wanted her to be chosen but her power was mostly dancing. She didn’t have the visual for K-pop fans and not strong enough vocals. That’s why In their songs KG, Camila,Kendal and Kaylee get more lines and they focus savanna and Lexi on rap and dance. I knew Gina wasn’t gonna make the cut cause till the end they talked about her dancing and vocals and how she wasn’t much in it like the rest girls. The judges have been doing this for a long time so I’m sure they know better.

The Back Dawgz performance was the only time JYP and the trainers had no negatives for Gina and Cristina and that their potential really showed. Had they capitalized on that momentum going into the finale by giving the same level of performance, they would've probably been chosen in the group. However, in the finale they were both the weakest link/stood out the least in their respective groups, so it shouldn't be so controversial that they ended up being the last 2. And the attitude evaluation was pretty much the nail in the coffin. Everyone should realize JYP Ent care about their idols being great people more than any other company, evident by how much the character and attitude evaluations mattered in the end.

I agree too. I just re-watched this episode since it's been a while, and I feel like the 6 that were chosen really were the perfect group to make Vcha. Though I really liked Christina💗 I have to say her vocals were too weak in the final episode, and this is where I think she got dropped. She looked uncomfortable, and this was their last chance to shine. Kendall is proving herself to be a valuable member in Vcha, so I am so happy for her. And Gina looks like she's doing ok on her own.

A friend of mine is born in 2005 and tries to audition but no labels wants him bc they say he's too old or borderline 😢 I feel so sad for Cristina bc she really deserves it and I don't see what did she lack compared to other members.. anyways, even if she decided to quit music, the bright side is that she will see her family and friends and live a normal free life out of all pressure with nobody invading her privacy 😊❤ (that's something a lot of idols would dream of actually)

Rewatching this again after seeing the final group's mv and performances. I tried to watch the different members when they weren't in focus to understand the flaws, and I understand why Gina and Cristina were eliminated. They just didn't shine as much. Gina has always had the fundamentals, but doesn't "act". She was barely smiling unless she was in the center. Cristina did falter and it showed in her face. Both girls are great, but these were the flaws jyp saw. Kendall's performance was not perfect, but she does contribute to the energy of thr group when she's not center. You can definitely see it in the stage performances for music bank.
As for the size of the group, the smaller group will be more succesful for a western group.
I think Gina got carried away from the beginning because she had already been a JYP trainee, and possibly thought that was enough, like Yuna had negative thoughts in her last performance, I mean she doesn't believe in herself.
@@pvbambi It's hard when you're a JYP trainee. Gina and Yuna from Nizi U had pretty much the same issues. They were too in their minds and their trajectory was very stagnant.

Cristina faltered because she had a pinched nerve going to her right leg. She went to a neurologist as soon as she got back to Atlanta. Even if selected, she would have missed pre-debut promotions and probably the first release as well.

in my opinion, it's almost impossible to impress fans with the group name itself, so I think jyp chose to keep it just vague(at least to global fans) but simple. What actually matters is how they raise the value of the brand with their songs, performances, etc.
I mean, bts is an acronym for "bulletproof boys" or "boys teamed up by producer Bang" in Korean, but their name's all over the place now.
I agree vcha certainly doesn't sound fancy but let's see what they can offer and what the future holds for the girls😊

Perdóname pero si JYP pensó en estereotipos de su país obviamente elegiría a Kendall. Si hubiera pensando en los fans del mundo entero hubiera escogido a Gina porque ella tiene buena voz, buen baile, también es linda en diversos países, se ve bien en el escenario, talvez le faltó pensar un poco mejor su elección, una verdadera lastima...

I cried my eyes out watching this 😂😂I have NEVER been so attached to a group of girls in a competition before been rooting for Lexus since the beginning so it was good to see her get her just desserts and Savanna honestly just blew me away and Camilla with a heart of gold and talent to match well done 👏 I love all of them and this was mind breaking I think my heart broke most for Christina especially as someone from the ATL❤❤❤❤looking forward to seeing where everyone ends up 😊😊😊

@@bunsyamiI kind of agree. The line up feels so stale. Like cristina and gina had both the best groups in the performance with 4 and in the performance with 3. Their dancing was amazing and ginas voice was so good. Also kendall didnt deserve to debut and everyone in the group seems so unique, but in a bad way. Like they are way too diferent from each other

I really hoped Cristina will make it bc she looks like a superstar and has so much charisma on stage. But we don't know what happened behind the scenes and what was finally the point that they didn't choose her. So sad...she was my favourite😢

People should understand by now that JYP actually made the right decision with the final line-up for the group.
The Back Dawgz performance was the only time JYP and the trainers had no negatives for Gina and Cristina and that their potential really showed. Had they capitalized on that momentum going into the finale by giving the same level of performance, they would've probably been chosen in the group. However, in the finale they were both the weakest link/stood out the least in their respective groups, so it shouldn't be so controversial that they ended up being the last 2. And the attitude evaluation was pretty much the nail in the coffin. Everyone should realize JYP Ent care about their idols being great people more than any other company, evident by how much the character and attitude evaluations mattered in the end.
